"The Raven's Gift is a compelling story of deep, authentic adventure into the far reaches of the world and the human spirit. Jon Turk is a true explorer, a curious traveler, and a gifted writer who shares his remarkable journeys with wisdom, insight, and compassion."

Maria Coffey, author of Where The Mountain Casts Its Shadow

Jon Turk is the author of twenty-five environmental and earth science textbooks and two adventure travel books. He is a world-class adventurer who, in addition to his kayak expeditions, has climbed big walls in the Canadian Arctic, mountain-biked across the Mongolian Gobi, and skied high peaks throughout the world. He writes frequently for many different magazines and alternates his time between Fernie, British Columbia and Darby, Montana.

Lawrence Millman is the author of 14 books, including such titles as Last Places, Lost in the Arctic, A Kayak Full of Ghosts, Northern Latitudes. A Fellow of the Explorers Club, he has made 35 expeditions to the Arctic and Subarctic.
