Over the year we hosted hundreds of events and got to meet hundreds of interesting authors. Since we had all of these interesting brains coming through the store, we decided to try and capture a little bit of extra creativity from all of these creative people.
Val Wang is the author of Beijing Bastard and multimedia storyteller. She most recently created and produced Planet Takeout, an interactive, multi-platform documentary on the role of Chinese takeouts as a vital cultural crossroads in America. She teaches in the English and Media Studies Department of Bentley University.
#PoemMonday is back! Because we had so much fun last year stretching our imaginations and to write dozens of poems, once again, everyone who orders from our website on the Monday November 28th (#CyberMonday Dun Dun DUHHHH!!!!) will receive an original poem in their confirmation email written by one of PSB’s libromancers. As book lovers you know, when you’re looking for a recommendation, engines and algorithms can’t replace a face-to-face conversation with a knowledgeable bookseller. But sometimes, despite your best intentions, you can’t get to your local bookstore before you need the book. And there are, of course, many book lovers who don’t even have a local bookstore to begin with.
