What's Your Sign?

Last week, we told people to tweet us their astrological sign and a genre and we'd send them a book recommendation. Over the following couple of days we sent over 150 recommendations. Someone in our mentions asked us to compile all the recommendations and we thought that was a great idea. So here are all of the recommendations we gave organized by sign. It's kind of a fascinating document. Some signs got more recommendations because we got more tweets for that sign. Does that say something about that sign in relation to other signs? I don't know. Perhaps more interesting, to me at least, is the handful of books we recommended to more than one sign. Part of that is caused, I'm sure, by more than one person doing the recommending and different interpretations people have for ideas like "ambitious" or "compassionate." But I think another part is that people and books are rarely just one thing. No person is only compassionate. No book is only plot driven. So, even if you're not in the market for your next read, the lists are interesting to looking through.

Couple of notes. First, these lists skew a little bit towards sci fi & fantasy because they're the genres most people asked for but there's still mystery, historical fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and a range of other genres. Second, most people sent us their basic sign, but a few people included more details (Sun, moon, rising, etc.). We put those books with whichever sign they mentioned first.
