Julie Freyermuth is Co-owner of Polly Parker Press, LLC and author of the acclaimed children s picture book Norbert: What Can Little Me Do? She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Art History from Ohio Wesleyan University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Julie is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society. Her previous work experiences over the past 13 years have included esteemed success in marketing, sales and entrepreneurial ventures, and have cultivated her expertise working with children and the general public. Most recently, after over five years of service, Julie resigned from her position as an Account/Project Manager with a prominent Marketing & Ad Agency to pursue her dream of inspiring, teaching and writing for children and adults through Polly Parker Press. She is honored to volunteer with her registered therapy dog, Norbert, as part of the Pawprints Program at Boston Children's Hospital.
Virginia K. Freyermuth, Co-owner of Polly Parker Press, LLC, and illustrator of the book Norbert: What Can Little Me Do? is an award-winning artist educator and has taught all ages PK-12, college and adults over her distinguished 40-year career. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Painting from Boston University and received her art teaching certification through Suffolk University. Dr. Freyermuth earned a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Concentration in Art Education from The Union Institute & University in Cincinnati, Ohio. After teaching in the public schools of Plymouth and Quincy, Massachusetts, she was the K-12 Art Coordinator of the Duxbury Public Schools in Duxbury, Massachusetts for 14 years. Dr. Freyermuth maintains a professional art studio where she continually develops works of art in a variety of media. Her work has been selected for exhibition at the Massachusetts State House, the Peabody Essex Museum, and the Duxbury Art Complex Museum.
