About the Author
Peter Zumthor is a Swiss designer and architect. He has had his own studio in Haldenstein, Switzerland, since 1979, and is a professor at the Accademia di Architettura de la Università della Svizzera Italiana in Mendrisio, Switzerland. Some of his most important works include the Kunsthaus Bregenz in Austria, the Swiss Pavilion for Expo 2000 in Hannover, and the Kolumba Diocesan Museum in Cologne. He received the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2009 and the Royal Gold Medal for architecture in 2013.
