From a Whisper to a Rallying Cry
The way Paula Yoo unfolds this story is an amazing work of storytelling, and considering how little known the Chin case is, this book has as much potential with adult readers as with the YA audience. -Marika

Silvia Moreno-Garcia is a master of genre fiction, and nothing exemplifies that more than The Beautiful Ones. This novel captures all the longing and intricate rituals of a historic romance with the fantastic world-building of a fantasy novel. When she was sent to stay with her cousin for her first season, Nina, a young girl with telekinetic powers, does not expect to enter a dance with the famous telekinetic performer, Hector Auvrey, and her own cousin-in-law, Camille. I read the last half of the book in one sitting because putting it down was nearly unthinkable.
Murderbot is back! Fugitive Telemetry is another fantastic, funny entry in the Murderbot saga. More, please! -Rebecca
A hilarious dark comedy in multiple acts, The Rock From the Sky will bring readers through an entire range of emotions before the final page. Sharp and funny, this is sweetly absurdist and sure to be enjoyed by adults just as much as children. -Marika
The existential musings of a cat, Penny is sure to win over any cat lover...and that's not just the Toxoplasma gondii. Realistic pen-and-ink and watercolor illustrations illuminate Penny's catnip fueled musings and daily monotony...something everyone coming out of a homebound state can appreciate. -Katherine
Dazzling and gritty, Astrid sees all is a love letter to 1980 NYC. Gritty and dazzling, with Standiford's expected quirk, this book will have it's 15 minutes of fame. -Marika
Atmospheric Southern fiction -- social class is almost a character in this book -- with a gripping, unpredictable plot and a twist that grapples with toxic masculinity. -Sarah
What a GREAT book. It makes you think about what is real, how much power belief can have, and the good that can be accomplished by regular people. The main character was raised by a cult and even when the cult gets busted up by the FBI, he can't stop thinking along the lines that he's been taught. He goes on the run, determined to fight some monster that may or may not really exist depending on if the cult leader was telling the truth or not.
Perfect for anyone waiting for the next season of Money Heist. -Sarah
