In this high-stakes thriller, 18 year old Daunis must juggle systems, rules, loyalties, and her own emotions in her quest for helping to solve some of the problems that plague her community. Because, as she knows, justice is not something native women are given, so she'll have to do what she can to do the best she can under the circumstances- for her entire community. A tightly-plotted high stakes thriller combining an FBI drug case, murder, hockey, family ties, the devastation of drugs, and even romance, set in an Ojibwe community on the UP.
Wonderfully engaging and educational. I know I'll be suggesting this title. -Stacey
Endpapers is a thoroughly captivating book that at first seems to be a family memoir but is really an extraordinary look at the intellectual milieu of 20th century German literary culture and its collision with the historical upheavals of the first half of the century. Wolff continues the story postwar delving into the complexities of how those upheavals play out in the dynamics of his own family. -Dale
