This is an absolute must for Beatles fans! I’ve read so many books on the “Paul Is Dead” conspiracy that I was hesitant when I saw this coming out, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a fresh twist, rooted in reality, but with plenty of nods to my favorite urban legend. As for the art, I dare you to find a more beautiful graphic novel; each page is a treat!

This is simply a beautiful book, and truly a work of art. From the wonderful illustrations, many of them roughly life-size, to the fascinating little essays scattered throughout (“Why don’t woodpeckers get concussions?” is only one of many), this book is a pure delight, and one I will treasure for many years.

This is the book I turn to when I need cheering up. Set in a crumbling English castle populated by a quirky and delightful cast of characters, the diary entries of the witty, charismatic, and "consciously naive" Cassandra Mortmain make up a coming of age story so utterly charming that I couldn't stop smiling while reading.

In Belle Epoch France, Dr. Samuel Jean Pozzi was known as Le Medecin de l’Amour – the love doctor. Devastatingly handsome, dynamic and brilliant, Dr. Pozzi was an eminent gynecologist and surgical innovator. His portrait was painted by John Singer Sargent in 1881 and this picture inspired Julian Barnes to explore this captivating doctor’s life and the many well-known figures he knew – Proust, Bernhardt, Wilde – first names not necessary.
