This touching and heartwarming tale told by a renowned children's poet about accepting who you are as you are is one of my all time favorites. Perfect for reading aloud and for beginning readers.
A gorgeous edition of one of the most inluential classics in the horror/gothic genre illustrated by the iconic Edward Gorey. It's the perfect gift horror/gothic lovers, classic literature enthusiasts, collectors, and those who just love beautiful books.
Fleabag but for people with chronic anxiety.
A perfect summer read for any middle-grade reader with sisters! I read this book when it first came out, and it is part of what jumpstarted my love for reading. The story follows four sisters' adventures over their summer vacation at a family estate. It has been fifteen years since I first read it along with my sisters, and we still make reference to it, specifically the M.O.P.S. (Meeting of the Penderwick Sisters) and M.O.O.P.S. (Meeting of the Older Penderwick Sisters) of which we created our own variation.
An incredibly beautiful and insightful narrative that blends memoir with queer theory, focusing on motherhood within the queer experience. It is a book I still think about long after I finished.
For fellow fans of Sally Rooney, Coco Mellor’s is a new writer to keep an eye on. Her debut novel Cleopatra and Frankenstein depicts the course of a tumultuous marriage between Cleo, a young artist from the UK wanting to extend her stay in NYC by obtaining a green card, and Frank, a much older American advertiser. Mellors deals with complex and heavy topics with a refreshing hand and creates a cast of characters that you are sure to have complicated feelings about.
