Elegantly unfolding, with a fun twist of alternative history, and a full cast of colorful characters. Maybe could be considered ecopunk, but I definitely consider it excellent.

I cannot explain how excited I was to fumble across this on a cart of books to shelve. I'm always hoping to find more sci-fi/fantasy done in verse, and this is just so much more! That each of these pieces of artwork exist individually is wonderful enough, but as a collection it's just phenomenal.

I would have gone crazy for a book like this as a kid! It just absolutely pops. It's so informative, but still fun and engaging. The large format and reversible design makes it a unique and memorable book to cherish.

Another splendid sticker collection of bizarre Victorian imagery, presented in such a beautiful package. Perfect for esoteric crafters and stationery collectors of all ages. Can't go wrong with these!

A tale of personal discovery that unfolds within a framework of deftly handled contemporary issues and a bizarre friendship. Is it a ghost story? Is it a haunting? Is it imagination? Your call. But it's a fresh and contemporary teen read with an old soul. Though you may not identify with the nunnery portions, you'll be hard pressed not relate to the bigger picture and enjoy how everything unfolds.

I really can't get enough of Lulu Mayo's coloring books. They're so adorable and perfect for when you need to just release. They're also perfect for fidgety hands that need something to do for the brain to focus.

Some of us are afraid of the things that go bump in the night. Others of us ARE the things that go bump in the night. Whether you're one or the other or neither, there's much to appreciate about this beautiful book. The illustrations add a magical touch to a story about balance and mutual appreciation.

This is just such a phenomenally well developed and frightening allegory about self and identity. Complex world building details add to a growing atmosphere of internal and external dystopia and dysphoria. The horror and violence end up cresting and create space - amazingly - for some hope. It's horror with a heart, and my heart loves it.
I can't get enough of Bree Paulson's adorable characters! I'm so happy to see the return of garlic and her other adorable little veggie friends. So sweet, a little spooky, and so well drawn.
Entire coral reefs made with crochet! I almost didn't believe it at first. I really love that the book dives into the geometry and natural science behind the 3-D crochet designs. And of course there are even pictures of the real creatures that inspired the whole thing. This is a great book to stow away, waiting for the perfect time to surprise the yarn artist in your life.
