Once again we are celebrating everything that makes independent bookstores vital to their communities. Here are the events and activities that will be going on throughout the day. We'll have a variety of bookish games and activities available all day!
This year we’re especially excited to partner with other bookstores in the Metro Boston area to provide trolley tours that will visit a number of different stores over the course of the day. There will be two different route. Route A, which starts here has sold out, but there are still seats available on Route B. For tickets and more information about the trolley tours. And click here to get book recommendations, meet some of the other stores, and learn more about Metro Boston Bookstore Day.
Here’s what else is going on at PSB on IBD.
9:30-10:00AM: Trolley riders will pick up a gift bag and get a tour of the back office, you know, where the magic happens.
11:00AM: Special IBD Story hour with Daniel Haack
Great Bookseller Bake-Off, 2PM-4PM: Our great Bookseller Bake-Off returns for a second year. Booksellers will compete against each other with their favorite recipes from their favorite cookbooks. The winner will be chosen by your votes.
Free Audio Books from Libro.fm. Once again, Libro.fm is offering free audio books for their members on Independent Bookstore Day. Not a member yet? You can sign up for your free account here. See the free audio books here. (We'll also have a listening station so you can try it out!)
Bookish Games: We'll have a couple of bookish games available for people to play all day, including a version of Heads Up! with prizes.
