Sweety

Sweety is a little odd--even for a naked mole rat. A zany, charming book about finding people who share your interests, from interpretive dance to mushroom identification. Sweety will steal your heart!

A creative picture book featuring a cast of cute, confused insects conversing in an imagined language. It's a cute book for spring that introduces kids to the idea of life-cycles by way of a little green sprout.

A picture book for even the youngest readers about community, social justice, incarceration, and non-violent protest. It's also about cooking, sharing, and eating delicious noodles and features a cute cast of animal characters.

Once again, Julia Sarcone-Roach has created the perfect story-time read-aloud. This delicious picture book features language that will delight your tongue like chocolate ganache and characters who will warm you like muffin straight from the oven. There are also little surprises, like the burst of jelly in the middle of your donut....did I mention you should probably have a snack on hand while reading?

With Anastasia Higginbotham, there's no sugar coating. Not My Idea encourages white children to ask hard questions, to call out racism when they see it, to educate themselves about the history of white supremacy, and to recognize that fixing the problem is one of their societal responsibilities. A poignant book presented with creative mixed-media.

One of the funniest books I've ever read, and just in time for the new Jurassic Park movie.

On one level this tale is about honoring a beloved dog, Sascha. On a level spanning time and place, it's a book is about how people have always marked greatness with extraordinary art and monuments. Moving story and transporting art speak to young and old.

Why yes, this book is quite fabulous. It has a cute story for kids based on Snow White, except most of the characters are ponies. Bright colors, cute characters, and even some humor adults will appreciate - you can't go wrong.

The gorgeous book for all ages is more than an adventure through a forest. The lush illustrations play with negative space; some of the elements rise up from the page adding a tactile dimension to the book. Part meditation, part expedition, this book contains more than meets the eye.
