Also reading through this series as a reference for something I’m working on
The Snow Child has been on my TBR list forever... this stretch of snowy days we're in the midst of felt like perfect timing
And am currently reading Metazoa, which is fascinating
Just finished Summerwater, which was really well written but a little too claustrophobic and cynical for me in these pandemic times
Also loved Ghostways, which is a really interesting collision of Jeff Vandermeer-esque prose poetry & actual nature writing
Recently loved Linda Hogan's latest (Heather, Marika, big Braiding Sweetgrass vibes)
Also speed-reading through A Girl Is a Body of Water for an essay. Will I finish it and the essay on time? Who knows!
Reading Women and Other Monsters by Jess Zimmerman. I'm not too far, but I suspect anyone who liked Wake, Siren would dig it
and back on the Tana French train with Faithful Place, which has instantly hooked me
Some astounding storytelling in here. I know what my May kids' staff pick will be.
I thought I needed a break from my extended rambles in the 15th and 16th centuries and as the Python's say "and now for something completely different" I picked up Alan Lightman's The Horde
Matt is actually an internet friend of mine and I've really liked his last two books.
Also have been reading The Sleeping Dictionary with my book group and am loving it, but I also love anything by Sujata Massey.
