Toot toot, I'm finally on the Nghi Vo train
Just finished She Who Became the Sun, which I can definitely see Sinny and Shana enjoying, and probably Robin too
Library has given me the audiobook of The Clone Wars Stories of Light and Dark and I'm so here for it
and finally, FINALLY got my hands on a copy of She Who Became the Sun, after months and months of frantically refreshing Edelweiss
reading my new birthday coffee table book, which is full of all my favorite things
just finished The Maidens cuz dark academia
I’m reading Brideshead Revisited now because January seemed like a good time for a classic
I’m now reading the Chosen and the Beautiful and enjoying it a lot even though I feel like I don’t remember the original Great Gatsby well enough to fully get it. I guess if I decide I want to reread I have about eighty thousand editions I can choose from now
Just finished The Past is Red which, in a typical Cat Valente fashion was both very fun and very moving
Finished Once & Future by Kieron Gillen and it was a HELL OF A THING. If you like the grizzled old antihero trope but think it would be even cooler with a grizzled old lady and her long-suffering grandson you will enjoy this
Also finished Penny by local cartoonist Karl Stevens
and when I need a break because that's so intense I've been swapping to listening to the Care and Feeding of Waspish Widows which promises to be as delightful as A Lady's Guide to Celestial Mechanics
I'm listening to Surrender Your Sons and it is A WHOLE LOT GAH not surprising since it's about a gay conversion camp. it's very good though
